Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
Every once in a while I like to feature entrepreneurs and small businesses in the Denver community. Today let’s get to know my portrait client, Barb Molitor of Denver, Colorado.
So Barb, what is your business?
My business is Send Out Cards. And it’s an online greeting card and gifting company.
What type of client is this product ideal for and how will they benefit?
It’s perfect for small to medium sized businesses because it allows them to reach out to their customers at different intervals throughout the year so they stay top of mind with their customers. It’s a great way to treat your past customers well, inspiring repeat business and referrals. There are a lot of automated features and functionality within Send Out Cards that allow them to setup a campaign, a thank you, a birthday card, an anniversary card. It’s a set it and forget it system that goes out automatically and they don’t have to worry about “oops I have to send out that card and go to the post office.” We will print it, seal it, stamp it, and take it to the post office for them without you having to remember. We also have an extensive gift line available as an option and the card will always go out with the gift.
What do you enjoy most about working for Send Out Cards?
Who doesn’t love getting a card? It’s something that makes your day. Even if you get a whole bunch of mail, the first thing you’re going to do is go, “Oh, my gosh, who sent me a card?” It puts a smile on their face and lifts up their spirits. You just never know what someone is going through when that card arrives and it can make their day. It’s really the joy that this product brings to others that keeps me going.
You’re approaching 70 years old and you’re still working. What’s your secret to vitality?
It’s very simple. First of all, I’m fortunate to have very good genes from my parents. They looked very young for their age as well. But most importantly, I keep a positive outlook on life. Get rid of negativity. If I can’t control it, if I can’t be in charge of it, then just let it go. You do feel lifted when you let things go. Just enjoy life and stay active. You never stop learning. Always continue to learn something new every day. Smile at people and they’ll smile back and you might make them feel better. Send out a card to get people to smile when you’re not there and make them feel even better! It’s keeping a positive attitude and watching your health as much as you can. Have a healthy diet, move and exercise. As you get older, moving and stretching are very important as you start aging. Things would normally stiffen up, but if you’re stretching and moving then your limbs and joints stay more flexible.
Give me three words that describe your favorite things.
Colorful. Fun. Travel!
If you could mail yourself anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
There are so many places! Ever since I was young, I’ve always wanted to see Tahiti. It’s so beautiful. Everything I’ve seen from movies and magazines is just beautiful, lush and tropical. I think it would be fun to visit and see the beauty.
What’s the best way for businesses to get in touch with you and find out about Send Out Cards?
They can go to my website which is www.sendoutcards.com/91973. Once they want to get that website, it will ask them if they want to send a free card, which they can do to try it out. They can also watch some videos about the different feature functionality and how to do a campaign, they can look through the card catalog, and they can also send a message to me or see my profile and call me directly. I serve the Denver metro area and I’m happy to come out to them and show them how everything works and explain the features in person. We also have a mobile phone app and I can give them a tour and help them with sending a card on the app.
